Letters to Ms. Liberty

Dear Ms. Liberty Well, it is Halloween after all...  With skeletons and boogeymen.  If you're going to run for office and have a skeleton in your closet, be aware. If your "skeleton" got caught passing a love note in 5th grade and you had to go to the principal's office, be aware: that note may grow tentacles from a child's note to become a list of all the answers to the bar exam, and instead of the principal's office, you spent time in jail.  As we get closer to the midterm elections, we see candidates get more desperate and -- nastier. And it hasn't always been this nasty; sometimes the opposition gets a bit more "edgy." However, right now, the attacks are less about policy and more personal.
